Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Smart Vendor Store (the "Service"), an online shopping store where customers can browse products, place orders, and pay online. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Smart Vendor Store is

Smart Vendor Store is an online shopping platform where customers can browse a wide range of products, place orders, and make secure online payments. Products are fulfilled by independent vendors on the platform, and payment may be split at the point of payment between the vendor and Smart Vendor Store using our payment partners' split payment functionality. Once an order is confirmed, it is processed and made available for delivery or pickup based on the option selected during checkout. Our platform is designed to provide a simple, secure, and convenient shopping experience for customers.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account or place an order.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Orders and payment

• Placing an order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline (for example, if an item is out of stock or a payment can't be verified).
• Prices are shown in Naira and include any charges disclosed at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment partners, Paystack and Flutterwave; we don't store your full card details.
• Where an order is fulfilled by a vendor on the platform, your payment may be split at the point of payment between the vendor and Smart Vendor Store, using Paystack's or Flutterwave's split payment functionality, so funds are routed directly to each party.
• We take reasonable steps to keep listings and prices accurate, but errors can happen. If we find a pricing or listing error after you've ordered, we'll contact you before completing the order.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for anything unlawful, to attempt to defraud us or another customer, or to interfere with the Service's normal operation. We can suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is involved in fraud.

5. Identity verification (KYC)

Where available, identity verification (KYC) involves submitting your National Identification Number (NIN) and a live photo, checked against government records and matched to your face, then reviewed by our team before a decision is made. Verification unlocks full access to certain platform features. Your NIN details and photos are retained only for the purpose of that review and deleted once it's complete. Each NIN may only be used to verify one account. Providing false identity information, or attempting to verify multiple accounts with the same identity, is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension.

6. Intellectual property

Smart Vendor Store and its branding, product descriptions, and site content are ours or used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them without our consent.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that the Service will always be error-free. To the maximum extent the law allows, Smart Vendor Store isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can suspend or terminate an account for violating these Terms or for suspected fraud.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
